Club history

2003 - 2004

This season the club entered 8 teams in the STTA league. The 'A' team haven won the forth division were promoted to division 1. The 'B', 'C' and 'D' teams were promoted to division 3 and the remaining teams in division 4.

The achievements gained in this season were beyond our expectations. Many of our young players represented the club in the NCL and NJL, intertown competitions and National events. On the domestic front the club won many titles as individuals or as a member of a team.

Coaching is still growing with approximately 75 young players using the facilities Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays.

Anne and Gary felt that the structure of the club was incomplete. What was missing from the club were experience players who could offer their time in developing young players.

Anne and Gary had a long association with Snows TTC and some of their players were in our support team. We believed this was the club Southampton West should merge with.

The merge went ahead in May 2004.

It is the clubs intension that an additional 8 teams will play in the STTA league, with the addition of the 5 Snows teams Southampton West will have a total of 21 teams in the STTA league of which a high percentage will be children.
